Pink Ribbon Lunch at Moy Hall

2026-06-02 10:09
A few weeks ago, I received a message from my friend Lydia from We Are The Whimsy, asking if I would like to create a dessert for their annual Pink Ribbon Lunch.

I was still feeling quite exhausted after a busy wedding season. Usually, I organise my own Pink Ribbon High Tea fundraiser each year, but this time I simply didn't have the energy. Running an event is another full-time job on top of everything else! So when Lydia reached out, it felt like the perfect opportunity to still contribute to a cause that means a lot, while focusing on what I love most: creating beautiful little desserts.

For the event, I made a selection of high tea favourites: raspberry cheesecake cakes, macarons, and mini éclairs filled with coffee mousseline cream. Delicate, elegant, and just the kind of treats I enjoy making.

As it turned out, I was also invited to attend the lunch itself. There was no way I could say no to spending an afternoon surrounded by inspiring women in business from the Wairarapa and Wellington region. As small business owners, we're often busy supporting others, so it was lovely to be on the receiving end of that support too, while connecting with new people and celebrating the work being done within our community.

The event was held at Moy Hall Vineyard, and everything was exceptional. The food, the service, the atmosphere, and the attention to detail all made for a memorable afternoon.

Lydia from We Are The Whimsy and Laura from Sanctuary Within did an incredible job organising such a meaningful event. From the beautiful styling to the generous auction and raffle prizes, every detail reflected the care and effort that went into creating a successful fundraiser for the Pink Ribbon cause.

I feel grateful to have been a small part of it and to contribute in the way I know best.

Events like this are a beautiful reminder of the power of community. When women come together to support an important cause, share their stories, and champion each other's businesses, amazing things can happen.
